Consultant Bios

Tom Wootten
Tom WoottenBefore establishing Legacy Team Development in 1991, Tom Wootten worked as a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago, and with Deloitte & Touche in New York.  Since then, Tom has helped Legacy become a leading international training and development organization.

Tom specializes in facilitating leadership development programs incorporating 360-degree feedback, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, experience-based projects, and one-to-one coaching. 

Tom’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, a Juris Doctor degree from the College of William & Mary, and a Master of Clinical Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Tom is a qualified practitioner with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and an accredited Emotional Intelligence consultant.  Tom recently became an ICF certified coach through Georgetown University.


Bo Hughes
Bo HughesBo Hughes is an industrial/organizational psychologist with over 25 years experience as a trainer and consultant in the area of human performance improvement.  Bo's work with Legacy focuses primarily on leadership and team development, and interpersonal and group dynamics.


A former therapist, Bo worked for Outward Bound from 1980 to 1993 as a manager and an instructor of executive programs, serving for five years as the Director of Professional Development Programs.  He holds Master's degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and in Education, and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.  He is currently an adjunct faculty member with the Center for Creative Leadership. 


Masuda MohamadiMasuda Mohamadi
Masuda Mohamadi, who works as a senior facilitator for Legacy, has ten years of facilitation experience working with teams and leaders.  She is skilled at working with international groups to help them manage cultural diversity and communication barriers. While she grew up in Northern Virginia, Masuda has worked in Afghanistan, where she managed an international team involved in capacity building projects.

Masuda holds a Master’s degree in creative writing and a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy, both from George Mason University.  Her work on diversity has been published in the Washington Post Magazine.  Masuda is a qualified practitioner with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.  She is a certified Kundalini yoga instructor, and uses yogic approaches to help leaders manage stress and maintain focus.


Kristy Whitman Norbert
Kristy Whitman NorbertKristy has been working in the field of facilitation, team development and social science for the past seven years. She is skilled at working with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds to help them be positive catalysts for themselves and their organizations. Kristy has worked with a variety of marginalized populations both abroad and in the States, and has a passion for developing socially conscious people and organizations.


Kristy holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communications from Northwestern University, where she was Captain of her Division One Field Hockey squad. She recently held positions as a Lead Land Instructor and Community Liaison for Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound. Kristy is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Madagascar.  In May 2007, Kristy received Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland.


Joe Zabel

Joe Zabel has ten years of experience working in diversity and leadership development training. He is certified to administer and facilitate The Leadership Diamond assessment tool. In addition to his work as a senior facilitator with Legacy, Joe facilitates the graduate level Group Dynamics class at George Mason University, where he received a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Knowledge Management. 


Joe specializes in conflict resolution, diversity training and executive coaching for telecommunications companies and the U.S Intelligence community.  He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech.

 


David CooperDavid Cooper
David Cooper is a senior program designer and lead technical consultant for Legacy. He has designed, managed and facilitated team building and leadership development programs for more than a dozen years, working with corporate and government clients all over the U.S.  

David's program management and technical expertise range from leading mountaineering-based team building programs to designing and facilitating complex audio-visual projects.  David is also lead consultant for Legacy's facilitated community service programs ("Legacy Service Projects").   He holds Bachelor's Degrees in Writing and Theatre, and is a qualified practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).


Denise Scotland
Denise ScotlandDenise Scotland has worked in the field of professional and personal development for more than 13 years, leading experiential wilderness expeditions for students and non-profit organizations, and facilitating team building programs for federal governmental agencies and private sector corporations.

She has extensive experience and skills in advanced team building, leadership development, conflict resolution, communication skills, diversity training, experience-based projects and facilitated community service.

Denise holds a Master's Degree in Human Resources Administration and a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, both from the University of Scranton.  She also has a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from Rutgers University/Douglass College. In addition to working as a senior facilitator for Legacy, Denise is a Technical Assistance Specialist and trainer for the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence and a member of the statewide Diversity Committee. She also works as a Mobile Therapist providing home-based counseling to those requiring mental health services.
